‘The Changing Room’ Exhibition & Network Event

Organised & Hosted by myself, showcasing solely my own work.

‘The Changing Room’ Photography Exhibition & Networking Event, occurred as follows: 12th April 2018, 6.30-9pm, at the Hoxton Basement, London (Shoreditch). The intention and theme of this project had been to firstly showcase the merge between sport and fashion. As well as to show how this is now a fully established clothing category and it’s popularity is increasing, whilst also expressing it’s current relevance within current trend forecasts. Secondly to show what a positive influence it is has been, to enhance creativity and design but most of all to make sure health, exercise and fitness is taken seriously, in a nation who is so actively involved within current fashions. Lastly this event was also organised to present my own work, and show in which field and photographical style I would like to go into, and pursue to the most of my ability.

-       Jack Alexander, a professional portrait photographer from London, as an influencer and dear friend, was our guest speaker for the evening.

-       17 prints (ranging between sizes A1-A0) were exhibited, with connecting props to create a visually 3D experience.

-       There was also R&B/Soul music, which suited the appropriate vibe.

-       Waitresses served drinks upon arrival and throughout the evening.

-       Business cards, feedback questionnaires and information of the motive for the event were available.

-       Adequate mood setting lighting was also set up, to enhance the photographical atmosphere.

The obtained feedback suggests the event was a success and the work and atmosphere created was one of the most impressive elements, alongside the venue choice being effective to suit the photographical style presented.
